How Tourism Can Prosper in Times of Uncertainty
As part of World Travel Market's Ministers' Programme, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) works in partnership with World Travel Market to host the UNWTO & WTM Ministers Summit in London. UNWTO and WTM bring together Tourism Ministers and leading tourism experts to determine the best course of action for the industry.


The 2011 summit, chaired by Keith Bellows, Editor-in-Chief, National Georgraphic Traveler Magazine, focused on:

  • The role of emerging markets
  • The impact of fiscal consolidation and increased taxation in European tourism
  • The future of tourism in the Middle East and North Africa
  • The role and importance of governments and tourism public policies after the crisis
