SINA FINE ITALIAN HOTELS 50 years of history for the Italian leading company in hospitality
Founded in 1958 by Count Ernesto Bocca, and presided over by Bernabò Bocca and his sister Matilde Salvo Bocca, Sina Fine Italian Hotels reached the important goal of 50 years of activity, confirming its role as the Italian leading company in the luxury market of hospitality.
Admirer of beauty, in 1958 Count Ernesto Bocca decided to acquire a historical residence in Florence, appreciating the 18th century façade: the building, thoroughly restored and provided with the most modern comforts, became a luxurious hotel, the Grand Hotel Villa Medici, appreciated by an international and exclusive clientele.
The passion for art and hospitality, elegance and taste, brought to the growth of Sina Fine Italian Hotels: the project to create a high class hotel group became reality. Step by step other hotels became part of this prestigious group following a deep research all over Italy.
Sina Fine Italian Hotels, with its headquarter in Florence and 10 luxurious properties in Italy, in the main cities as well as in the most fascinating locations of the country, can effectively be considered the private company that more than any other has designed a real idea of Made in Italy in hospitality.
The unmistakable style in perfect balance between tradition and modernity, the variety of destinations, the personality of each property, make this portfolio unique and still unmatchable today for its level, compared to other national hotel companies.
The properties belonging to Sina Fine Italian Hotels are ideally divided into city and resort destinations: Rome, Milan, Florence and Venice are the prime city destinations, suitable both for business and leisure, while the resort properties are in Parma, Perugia, Viareggio and Romano Canavese, where each stay is a true experience.
These are: Grand Hotel Villa Medici in Florence, recently restored, with a wonderful garden with pool in the city center; the Hotel Bernini Bristol in the heart of Rome famous for its fascinating roof garden; Palazzo Sant’Angelo, facing the Canal Grande in Venice; the Hotel De la Ville, meeting point in Milan and the hotel The Gray, a touch of design in the city of fashion; the Brufani Palace, the luxurious hotel in the center of Perugia; the Palace Maria Luigia in the heart of Parma, renowned for its gourmet cuisine; the Hotel Astor on the main promenade in Viareggio facing the Adriatic Sea; the Relais Villa Matilde, a noble residence of the 18th century close to Turin. And in 2009, to celebrate its 50th anniversary a new jewel is going to be added to the portfolio: the Centurion Palace in Venice on the Grand Canal, with an original and modern style, close to the Guggenheim Museum.
