    Joining the European Travel Commission (ETC) in 2008, Nicholas has been involved in a number of major developments, working as Online Marketing Manager, Marketing Manager and most recently as Acting Executive Director.

    After graduating from the University of Westminster with an honours degree in Photographic Arts, Nicholas began his creative career in travel, writing a weekly travel column for the Guardian Newspapers, in which he travelled the length and breadth of Europe comparing low-cost airlines and their little-known travel destinations in 2004.
     
    Nicholas went on to set up SE1 Media Ltd, specialising in podcast production and new media consultancy, before joining ETC where he managed the redevelopment of the visiteurope.com portal. Nicholas has since been overseeing ETC’s marketing activities, developing marketing strategies for Brazil, Canada, China and US Markets and developing a stronger digital image for ‘Destination Europe’ alongside the organisation’s traditional marketing activities.
     
    In his role at ETC, Nicholas has gained a wealth of knowledge of Europe’s tourism industry, through close working relationships with 35 National Tourism Organisations and by representing the organisation on international forums both in an outside of Europe. Nicholas is a Board member of the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) and involved in a number of other tourism organisations.
