Formerly the event director for the Children’s Diabetes Foundation’s Carousel of Hope, the single largest one-night fundraiser in the United States, Debbie started with the Aspen Chamber Resort Association US in 1999 as director of membership. She was appointed president and CEO in 2005.

A graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management, Debbie is a board member of the Colorado Association of Destination Marketing Organizations and the Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives, and a board of Regent for the Institute of Organizational Management.

Among other accomplishments on behalf of Aspen’s business community and its destination marketing initiatives, Debbie introduced and lead Aspen’s movement to adopt a 1% lodging tax resulting an additional $1 million for Aspen’s tourism marketing efforts. She also recently coordinated the effort to secure a stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Aspen, a new 7 stage pro bike race that is now a major event on the international cycling calendar.

Debbie was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska, US and received a Journalism/ Public Relations degree from Northern Arizona University US.
