Advice Clinic Title: "PR - Why Reputation is Everything"

Petra has 17 years’ experience in Hospitality and Marketing.  Her early role as Loyalty and PR Manager at Princess Cruises inspired a love for hospitality, particularly for food service development, and she later completed chef training at Tante Marie.  Petra returned to agency marketing, delivering award-winning B2B campaigns, later becoming the Institute of Hospitality’s Director of Marketing and Communications.

In 2007, Petra launched Custard Communications to deliver creative, strategic advice to venues, hotels, restaurants and caterers.  She is a social media and digital PR expert, a seasoned speaker and a frequent trade press commentator.  She also taught the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Diploma and holds membership of the Chartered Institute of PR, The Institute of Hospitality and the CIM.
