WTM World Responsible Tourism Day Responsible tourism is not a passing trend. As more and more governments, businesses, organisations - and consumers - recognise the importance of responsible tourism, the subject has risen to the top of the industry agenda. With the support of the World Tourism Organization, the third WTM World Responsible Tourism Day took place on Wednesday 12 November 2009. To coincide with World Responsible Tourism Day at World Travel Market, WTM is asking companies and organisations across the industry to show their support and undertake their own responsible tourism initiatives. WTM Travel Agents The WTM Travel Agents programme aims to play an integrated role in structured product knowledge training for travel agents, counter clerks or reservation staff, homeworkers, and middle management of independents and multiples. It is designed to be an enjoyable, stimulating and fun experience combining presentations, stand visits, destination trails and competitions. |
